Week 21- 23

We'll I have not been updating and focused on pregnancy updates, I should because I am not doing a book or anything.

Total weight gain: gained 8 pounds

Maternity clothes: Not yet, just loser shirts because I just look fat. I did have to go out and buy bigger bras.

Sleep: through the night luckily but I am starting to get uncomfortable, tossing and turning more.

Best moment of  last week; celebrating st Patricks day with corn beef and cabbage and my favorite Irish soda bread. This week; Starting the nursery, shopping at hobby lobby for curtains and bumpers fabric. 

Miss anything: beer (wanted green beer for St Patricks day) and sangria. My hormones being stable.

Movement: yes at certain times during the day, mostly morning and night. Cam even got to feel her a little Tuesday night while we were watching The Voice.

Food cravings: Cookies as always. 

Anything making you queasy or sick: not really but I did throw up for the very first time last night, it was weird. I have been fine since. Might have been the cereal I pigged out on for lunch. 

Have you started to show yet: I guess so since a kindergartener asked me" are you having a baby" I had to ask how she knew and she said " I can tell" I was wearing this shirt months early before I was pregnant and a fourth grade boy said the shirt was a pregnancy shirt. I did not wear that shirt since.

A little get-away Arizona spring training

So it has become a tradition going to Arizona for spring training in March. It is a fun get away, beautiful weather and lots of baseball.
We drove out there Saturday morning and got there just in time for an Angel game. We had amazing seats.

So much fun and good times with my brother and dad. We even meet some friends out there and hung out a bit. Couldn't have asked for a better, more relaxing vacation.

Week 19/20

Life is busy...can't imagine it is going to be even more busy when Paisley Grace arrives.
Still feeling fine.
Cravings are for all kinds of junk food. It is hard to go to the store without getting a snack. 😁 French fries and cookies my two biggest ones!
Still not too big of a bump but it is growing.
Highlight: going for the detailed sonogram. I just love seeing my baby. Got to see her arms and legs, so beautiful. She was in a funny position!
Sadly I had to go by myself because we missed the appointment. My pregnant mind thought it was thirty minutes later than it was : ( luckily there was a cancelation later that day! So I went by myself while Cam went to work. A horrible day at work because he was hurt. Thankfully not terribly like he should have been. So Cam was in the back of a truck on a forklift going to back it out when a stupid guy didn't follow safety protocol started pulling the trailer away from the dock. Yes at the same time so Cam fell out of the back of the truck on a forklift. Luckily nothing was on the forklift and he followed safety measures grabbing the steering wheel so he was not injured badly. He did go to the doctor and they did X-rays finding deep tissue bruising in back, neck and hips and bone bruising in his hip. They gave him lots of exercises and medicine. And put him on light duty for two weeks. This is hard for him because he enjoys his job and being active with softball. We are so thankful God protected him in this situation!
So life has been busy and I have not been taking belly pictures.

Week 17/18

Week 17/18

I finally decided to start taking weekly pictures to see progress of my growing belly. Hopefully I can keep it up. I will post them as a collage later.
Some friends have started noticing my little bump but it is still not that big.
I have been feeling fine, wondering if I'm still pregnant because the tiredness has subsided. I have been fighting a little cold which has been annoying; causing me to want to sleep more.
My appetite has increased and desire for sweets has arrived. And I thought I would make it through the pregnancy without wanting sweets, I was dreaming! Cookies are my biggest weakness, especially since Girl Scout cookies are out and a new delicious type of Oreo, cookie dough filling. I've been a little more emotional lately too. Oh, and maybe more "stomach aches" usually at night after eating a big meal. Ok so maybe the pregnancy signs are still there.
We cannot wait to start working not he nursery. Our roommate is moving out in march and can start then.

Boy or girl!?!

Week 16
So such an exciting day yesterday. Saturday night felt like Christmas, Cam and I both had a hard time falling asleep, thinking about the excitement of the day to come. Finding out whether our lil bean was a boy or girl!
Luckily we had church in the morning to keep us occupied and focused on something. Of course I had a melt down when we got the sweetest encouraging text from Corey, Cam's brother. He lives in Ohio and we miss them so much. His text was so sweet then I was reminded how much I miss them and their five adorable kids.
After church and promising some we would tell them immediately we headed down to Newport where we were having the sonogram done. We had time to spare so we decided to browse Target, who doesn't love browsing target. We decided to snap some pictures, boy and girl things we found and made a little collage.

Yeah we had a little too much fun with this.
So we arrived at the place after turning around a couple times because we passed it. We pulled in to a old and ugly strip mall. I started questioning the place. We found out about it from Corey and Tiffany brother and sis-in-law. They went there so we will be fine. We walk in and it is nice inside and the girls were nice and friendly. We go in to this room with two big TV screens and a leather couch. They find they baby and look around for a while. Baby was moving a lot but did not want to show us privates. I started to think maybe we wasted $25. She then had me shake my hips and checked again. Baby finally moved and showed us. She said, " are you ready to find out." We both said yes me a little hesitant. So she said girl, I was in doubt and they moved things around and double checked, pointed the pelvic bone out and confirmed it. They printed lots of pictures and sent us on our way.
I still doubted but Cam confirmed it was right and said he was so happy. He immediately called our friend Maddy who we promised to call and tell. I didn't really want to talk I had yet talked to him
about it.
It started sinking in as the night went on and we enjoyed strolling around Huntington Beach shops looking for something pink. We found some pink sunglasses and decided to go down to the sand to do a cute picture in the sand.

We then enjoyed dinner and went home. Such a fun and exciting day.
It feels even more real and now we can start calling her by name.
Daddy and I are so in love with her already.

Hearing a heart beat

So I finally went to my first doctor appointment yesterday. Cam was there with me and we got to see and hear the heart beat. So crazy. It took my breath away and was just beautifully amazing. I am so in love already and Cam is just as crazy in love. He immediately was texting people the sonogram pictures. My heart was so full of joy, spending time with my husband that I am madly in love with and seeing my baby for the first time that I am just as in love with. Boy my heart cannot be more full of love and joy! (Sorry for being so mushy, pregnancy hormones)
We both were talking about it when you hear others say they got to hear the heartbeat for the first time you do not realize the magnitude of this simple action at the moment until it is your own baby's. God is simply amazing. His beauty is indescribable.
We then meet Ryan and Ashley the boys and Gwen and Clare for lunch at Chipotle.
I ate a whole burrito bowl by myself something I do not usually do....my appetite is increasing.
We also found out I am farther along than expected and my due date is the day after my birthday.
We are planning to go this weekend to go find out what lil bean is, boy or girl. I cannot wait to start calling lil bean by name.

Second Trimester

Week 13
Officially into the second trimester.
Still tired, could use a nap every afternoon. Tonight I could barely finish dinner and dishes I wanted a nap so bad.
Cravings, junk food. I'm over anything healthy and just want candy and snacks. Cam has noticed too, our cupboards have snack food which we never had before!
Getting more and more excited to find out if our lil bean is a boy or girl.
Can't wait for my first appointment next Monday, Cam can come.
Still not quite showing maybe month four I will post a picture.

We went to my cousins wedding last weekend, turned out nice in my aunt and uncles backyard. We danced and had delicious cupcakes!
